Job Title: Senior Developer – Emerging Technologies
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior developer of Emerging Technologies with hands-on
experience in developing and delivering proof-of-concepts (POCs) in airports using cutting-edge
technologies, such as computer vision and deep learning. The ideal candidate will have more than 7
years of relevant experience and possess a deep understanding of emerging technologies and their
applications in airport operations. The senior developer of Emerging Technologies will play a crucial
role in leading a small team and driving innovation by developing and implementing POCs to
showcase the potential of these technologies in improving airport operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Hands-on Experience: Demonstrate hands-on experience in developing and delivering POCs
using emerging technologies in airport operations, such as computer vision and deep
learning. Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in these technologies and
actively apply them in POC development.
2. Research and Analysis: Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in emerging
technologies, specifically in the context of airports. Conduct in-depth research and analysis
to identify and evaluate technologies that can improve airport operations and develop POCs
to showcase their potential.
3. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of POC
projects in airports. Define project goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets. Monitor
progress, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery of POCs.
4. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including airport operations, retail,
marketing, and other departments, to align POC initiatives with business goals. Foster a
culture of innovation and collaboration and promote knowledge sharing across the
organization.
5. Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external technology vendors
and partners. Oversee the selection and procurement of emerging technology solutions for
POC development, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and
standards.
6. Leadership: Provide strategic leadership in developing and delivering proof-of-concepts
(POCs) in airports using emerging technologies, such as computer vision and deep learning.
Lead a small team of technology experts and collaborate with cross-functional teams to
ensure successful POC development and delivery.
7. Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with POC development and delivery,
including data security, privacy, legal, and regulatory considerations. Develop and implement
risk mitigation strategies to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with
industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
∙ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information
Technology, etc.).
∙ More than 7 years of experience in hands-on development and delivery of POCs in airports
or similar environments, using emerging technologies, such as computer vision and deep
learning.
∙ Deep knowledge and expertise in emerging technologies and their applications in airport
operations.
∙ Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex technology projects,
specifically in the context of POCs in airports.
∙ Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and apply emerging
technologies to improve airport operations.
∙ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a small team
and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
∙ Strong understanding of risk management, data security, privacy, legal, and regulatory
considerations associated with POC development and delivery.
∙ Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and drive innovation and change
within the organization.
