Job Description:
As a Data Centre Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our organization’s data centre infrastructure. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of all data centre systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and efficiency. Your expertise in data centre technologies will be instrumental in supporting our business-critical operations and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Centre Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and monitor data Centre hardware, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and cooling systems.
- Perform regular hardware inspections, maintenance, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Managing critical and non-critical processes.
- Documenting all records, including time sheets and warranty certificates.
- Schedule preventative maintenance activities.
- Managing critical and non-critical processes.
- Guiding junior members within the team.
- Managing recurring problems.
- Responsible for maintaining detailed documentation of all deployed IT assets within the data centre.
- Document system problems and resolutions for future reference.
- Data Centre Network and Connectivity:
- Configure and manage data centre network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Optimize network connectivity to maintain high availability and low latency.
- Server Virtualization and Cloud Integration
- Ensuring Access controls in premise
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues in data centre systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of data centre configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.
- Generate regular reports on data centre performance, capacity, and incidents.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Any UG/Graduate
- Proven experience as a Data Centre Engineer or in a similar role with hands-on experience managing data centre infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of data centre hardware, networking, and storage technologies.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms.
- Understanding of data centre security practices and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving data centre-related incidents.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
